You're like the sun
Giving your kisses
Keeping your distance
As you gently leave my skin sunkissed
With each kiss warm and comforting
So I resist moving
Despite knowing the outcome
The longer I stay
The more it hurts
As your kisses become more harsh
I have to leave
Please understand I can't stay
Take your glaring eyes off me
As my skin is left sunburnt
You had to leave
Only to come back the next day
And remind me of how
You're warm and comforting
I hope to be able to give you that tingly feeling I get when I read poems or prose through my words.

Stardust Sailor
I am a stardust sailor. I sail through the dust of what we were. The complete remnants of our memories that continue to swirl in my mind. Sometimes with only a few specs and other times with a swarm of glitter all too fast like how it all ended.
I follow the stardust that leads me to where you are. Somewhere in the stars.
You are a warmth that I have longed for more than anything else. The whole world was blue the moment you left and continued to change to darker shades of cold.
With your fading trace of stardust I quicken my pace. Hoping that the wind of change would once again direct my sails to you. However, the air remains cold and still. As all the stardust fades away and I realise all this time I've been sailing for nothing because you're gone.
